Graham Cornwell
Dr. Graham Cornwell is an independent college counselor with the Vinik Educational Placement Services, where he supports students in navigating the college admissions process and developing compelling application essays that reflect their lived experiences and aspirations.
He previously served as Senior Assistant Dean for Research and Special Initiatives at George Washington University, where he also taught undergraduate and graduate courses in history, geography, and international affairs. His academic work and public writing, which has appeared in outlets such as The Washington Post, Al Jazeera, Foreign Policy, and Smithsonian Magazine, reflects a strong commitment to global perspectives, migration, and social inclusion.
Dr. Cornwell holds degrees from Carleton College, George Washington University, and Georgetown University. A native of Lexington and graduate of Henry Clay High School, he brings both local roots and global experience to his work in support of educational access and opportunity for Dreamers and Survivors.
